John Gasson | Chairman – Director
John established Construction Control in 1988 and quickly developed a reputation for delivering high quality projects that meet the needs of his client. John has steadily and strategically grown the company such that it is now one of Canberra’s largest business’s employing over one hundred staff and delivering property related project management services to a wide range of Government and private clients.

Peter Wright | Managing Director
Peter joined Construction Control as a Director in 2000 following a long career with Lend Lease. Peter’s contribution to the company has been a major factor in its growth over the last ten years. Peter is a very experienced resource who has a proven ability to project manage large complex projects and build strong teams that achieve results via sound project management disciplines. Peter is highly regarded and respected within the property industry in Canberra.

Ian Bowyer | Director
Ian is one of Canberra’s most experienced construction resources. Ian joined Construction Control as a Director in 2000 and took responsibility for the construction of the Brindabella Business Park at the Canberra Airport.  With the growth of the company Ian moved to the $280m Canberra Centre expansion project. Ian is currently managing all the projects underway at the Canberra Airport. Ian is highly respected by his clients and by the commercial sub contract market. Prior to joining Construction Control Ian worked for Lend Lease for eighteen years.

Management

John Pfeiffer | General Manager
John joined Construction Control in 2005, and brings significant management experience to the company. John provides excellent support to the Construction Control project teams through mentoring, training and via a diligent managed project review process. John has been involved with the local property industry since 1976 and over this time he has filled senior positions involving project design, contract management, general administration, project management, cost planning and financial reporting. His level of management skills are recognised in being a Fellow of the Australian Institute of Management (FAIM) and Member of the Australian Institute of Project Managers (MAIPM). John reports to the Board on his responsibility for the general management of the company.

Chris McKee | Chief Financial Officer

Chris is a Chartered Accountant, has an MBA and is responsible and reports to the Board on the financial and corporate functions of the Construction Control group. The role encompasses all financial and commercial activities of the Group, including overseeing project finances, strategic finance issues and corporate compliance.

Chris has over twenty years finance experience, in a broad range of industries including professional services, hospitality, accommodation services, consulting engineering and technology. Chris worked for five years in audit, prior to moving to commerce.

Chris is a member of the company’s management team and his contribution on a broader company issues is highly valued.

Nick MacDonald Crowley | Business Development Manager
Nick joined Construction Control in March 2011 and takes over responsibility for growing the business across all sectors of the property market. He is the company’s manager responsible for Business Development and also plays a key role in formulating the long term strategic direction of the company.

Nick has lived in Canberra all his life, and started his career with the local firm of McCann Valuations in 1986. Nick worked his way through that organisation to become a Partner in 1999, as a valuer Nick has gained excellent knowledge of the ACT’s Planning and Crown Leasehold system.

In 2006 McCann’s was acquired by CB Richard Ellis, and Nick took on the role of Managing Director of CBRE Canberra. Nick was awarded the Real Estate Institute of the ACT Commercial Salesperson of the year in both 2008 and 2009. Nick is also Fellow of the Australian Property Institute (API), and the current Chair and National President

John Wojcicka | General Manager – Interiors
John joined Construction Control in February 2011 and his objective is to reinvigorate and grow Construction Control’s fit out and refurbishment business. John will use Construction Control’s roots in fit out as motivation to achieve this objective.  John is Construction Control Interiors General Manager and is responsible for all aspect of the operation of the business.

John is an Architect with a diverse range of experience spanning 25 years in the property industry. On graduating in 1988 John worked on site on a number of major projects such as the Darling Harbour Convention Centre and the Darling Harbour Infrastructure project.

John then commenced working for the ISIS Group as a Project Manager and over fourteen years held the senior management positions of ACT Business Development Manager, ACT State Manager, and National Projects Director.

John is highly regarded for his attention to detail, quality of delivery and his focus on client service.

David Gloede | Health, Safety & Environmental Manager
David has worked in construction safety management for the last seven years, and with Construction Control for five of those years. David is degree qualified in OH&S and brings that level of knowledge and discipline to his work.

David is committed to the continuous development and improvement of the companies accredited HSE Management System. As HSE Manager David is responsible to engage, encourage, coach, mentor, direct and support Construction Control and contractor project management in developing skills and strategies to achieve desired HSE performance.

In achieving this David has developed a very good working relationship with industry stakeholders in the region and is highly regarded by clients, government agencies, subcontractors, suppliers and importantly his fellow employees.

David is a senior management resource and his contribution on all issues is sought and valued.
