Red Shed – Black Mountain Rowing Club

The Red Shed is a charitable venture by JEGA to give back to the community by developing and constructing a two-storey rowing boat facility, located at the Black Mountain Peninsula. JEGA’s mission is to provide a ‘Rowing for All’ facility, with a focus on providing free rowing to public school students, disadvantaged groups, and many other programs open to the ACT public with any revenue earned going back into the programs. This building will comprise of boat storage, a workshop, yoga and coaching space, end of trip facilities, sauna, and an ice bath on the ground floor. Level one contains multiple offices, a gym, kitchen, function space, café, and a balcony that overlooks Lake Burley Griffin.
