Westpoint Shopping Centre – Carpark Block 3

During 2019, at QIC’s Westpoint Shopping Centre in Blacktown, Carpark Block One and Two received a Structural and Ambiance Upgrade. These works left the final and largest Carpark Block (Three) looking dark and dated by comparison.

With the aim to lift the customer experience, CC was engaged to complete the Ambiance upgrade to Block Three which involved:

  • Replacement of over 2000 existing lighting with eco-friendly and durable LEDs – Façade upgrade
  • Internal surface coating
  • Colour coded level indication and signage
  • Security and Fire protection modification
  • Reconstruction of the shopping centre’s Six entry lobbies and ramps.

To enhance the efficiency of the Carpark, an automated management system was designed and installed by CC across all levels of the 4000 bay Carpark. The system has three integrated elements Parking Guidance, Dynamic Wayfinding Signage and Licence Plate Recognition access management. QIC has since realised increased customer processing and control while assisting customers to navigate the large-scale parking structure. Works were planned and delivered to accommodate keeping the Carpark operational.

The works involved significant planning and consultation with the client to ensure the carpark remained operational while delivering to the highest standards.
